Understanding the importance of an executive team, and the role they can play in taking your business to the next level, is an important step.

Whether it’s to scale or prepare for sale, a strong senior leadership team can help you accelerate growth and manage a smoother exit.

A strategic FD will help you plan for growth, mapping out shortfalls in cash flow while identifying grants and tax reliefs; an experienced COO will help you build new platforms and processes while optimising inhouse resources and suppliers; and a seasoned NED will help you find the right growth investment while advising on how to make the most of it.

Three members of The Supper Club will share their experiences of recruiting, incentivising, and managing senior leadership teams for a range of strategies, from scale to sale, with tips and tactics on how to make it work – or fix it if it doesn’t.

Join us to hear three entrepreneurs share their own experiences, warts and all, with technical advice from specialist partners in our panel Q&A.

Please arrive at 2:30pm for a 3pm start. Networking drinks will follow when the talk concludes at 4:30pm.

Afternoon agenda:

2:30pm – Arrival and registration
3pm – Speakers
4pm – Panel Q&A
4:30pm – Networking and drinks
5:30pm – Close

Speakers include:

Nick Thistleton – Founder of Lucky Voice

Nick initially carved out a career as a professional pianist, while moonlighting as a strategy consultant.

In 2003, he founded Lucky Voice, a high-quality, Japanese-style karaoke experience in central London, that now has several venues around the UK.

Nick will be sharing his story around building his senior team from within, spotting talent and giving them the right support to grow, allowing him to step back.

Nicholas Gill – CEO of David Phillips
Nicholas co-acquired David Phillips in 2005, since then revenues and profits have grown more than tenfold through a combination of organic growth and acquisition.

David Phillips is now the UK’s largest specialist supplier of furniture and appliances to the property industry.

Employing over 290 staff, they carefully deliver more than 60 tonnes of furniture every day.

Nicholas will share his insights on building a senior management team ready for private equity investment, and the lessons learned since.

Third speaker to be announced soon…
